I think you're right that the disaffected on the right and the left have more in common than they realize and that constitutional reform is needed.

I always figured that Bernie Sanders might have been able to bridge that gap with his populist movement but I think it may be too late now.

Sadly, I suspect that you're right that we're in for more suffering and violence before things change in a meaningful way.
