Thanks for the kind words, Sarah. I'm sorry Medium is not working out for you and I'll miss your writing. I agree that most of the big publications deal with stuff I'm not interested in such as self-help, entrepreneurship and IT but I've found enough fun publications to keep me engaged.

I have the advantage of being retired with a steady pension income so I don't need a writing income. Nevertheless, since joining Medium this past January, I've been surprised to find that I'm making considerably more money than I did in the last few years from traditional media outlets. I also have the advantage of a 35-year inventory that I can recycle.

If I needed the extra income and had to put in tons of effort to produce work, I think I, too, would likely give Medium a pass. I hope you succeed in other markets and can then afford to join us in the Medium sandbox and have some fun. In the meantime, I'll continue to search for your work.
